FPF FlexCollect report 2025

The Flexible Plastic Fund (FPF) released the final FPF FlexCollect report on 1 September 2025.

The report consolidates over three years of learnings from the FPF FlexCollect trials, which have taken place across 10 UK local authorities. With over 400 tonnes of flexible plastic packaging collected from 160,000 households, the project is the largest of its kind in the UK.

The report includes a blueprint, a comprehensive guide to integrating flexible plastic packaging into existing kerbside recycling collections. It also provides essential data insights and practical guidance for local authorities, government, the waste management and recycling industry and plastic reprocessors preparing for mandatory flexible plastic collections under Simpler Recycling from 2027.
